What you will need to Make the Holiday Table Something Special with this Holiday Charcuterie Wreath
- 2 large hands full of fresh rosemary sprigs.
- Assorated deli meats – I like to use capicola, mortadella, and salami.
- Assorted cheeses – I use a block of gouda cheese and a small block of cheddar cheese.
- Red or black grapes.
- Dried or candied fruit – our favorite dried fruit for charcuterie is dried and candied orange slices cut into quarters.
- Fresh pomegranate arils (seeds) and sugar cranberries.
Let’s Make the Charcuterie Wreath
- Take 2 hands full of rosemary and binder clip them together at the step to make a long piece.
- Fill a bowl 1/2 way with water and place rosemary in a circle in the bowl.
- Place a smaller bowl on top of the rosemary to keep it submerged in the water in a circle.
- Let the rosemary sit in the water on the countertop for 2-3 hours.
- Remove the rosemary from the water, pat it dry with a few paper towels, and place the piece in a circle on a large platter.
- Remove the binder clips and fluff the rosemary so it’s in a perfect wreath shape.
- Fold the deli meat slices into quarters and arrange them around the wreath on top of the rosemary.
- Place small groups of grapes around the wreath.
- Use a small star-shaped cookie cutter to cut some of the cheese into a star shape. Cube the other cheese and arrange it on the wreath.
- Garnish with pomegranate arils (seeds) and sugar cranberries.
- Add twinkle lights for a festive holiday presentation.
Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips
- I use a large plate charger as the platter for the charcuterie. It’s larger than a dinner plate and makes a wonderful presentation.
- Of course, you should use any types of meats, cheese, fruits, nuts, and garnishes that you like. Just be sure it adds colorful items to show off the platter
- This wreath can be made a few hours ahead of time. Store it in the refrigerator wrapped in plastic wrap. Remove it from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving.
- Decorate the holiday table with battery-powered twinkle lights and everyone will know that you took the extra time and effort to make the holiday special.
