This is the easiest appetizer you will ever make. Juicy ripe peaches with creamy nutty Gouda cheese drizzled with olive oil and honey.
Why We Love This Recipe
It’s that time of year when all I want to eat are small bites of delicious little appetizers. I think it’s because they remind me of parties, family gatherings, and the holidays. This year, instead of a traditional cheese and fruit tray, I’m going to pair fruit with different cheese and serve them on skewers.
Ingredients
- Gouda Cheese – I recommend using a Dutch gouda. I do not recommend using smoked gouda cheese for this recipe.
- Olive Oil – I like to use blood orange infused oil, but regular extra virgin olive oil is a perfect substitute.
- Honey – use your favorite type of honey.
Let’s Make Peach and Gouda Skewers
- Slice the cheese and peaches into bite-sized pieces.
- Skewer a piece of cheese, a peach slice, and another piece of cheese.
- Place two skewers into each small dessert glass.
- Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the peaches and cheese.
- Drizzle with honey and olive oil.
Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips
- Use ripe peaches that are not too soft.
- Always serve cheese at room temperature to bring out the true flavor.
- If you do not have small dessert or appetizer glasses, serve these on a large platter.
