A Rosemary Salty Dog Cocktail is a herbaceous twist on a classic salty dog. It’s made with vodka, grapefruit juice and a sprig of fresh rosemary.
By now you know I love anything lemon. But I should explain that I really love anything citrus which is why I love cocktails made with grapefruit juice like this Rosemary Salty Dog Cocktail. The addition of the rosemary adds a slight woodsy note without being overbearing. Makes me feel like I’m drinking a creative craft cocktail.
I’m also a fan of drinks with a salted rim – don’t judge! I know that everyone needs to watch their salt intake but when it comes to cocktails with a salted rim – I’m all in!
This cocktail is really one of my favorites…light, tangy, salty, woodsy. And it makes me feel a bit nautical – like an old salty dog sailor (insert wink). Go ahead and give it a try and let me know what you think of it.
