Why We Love These Little Bites of Mozzarella

These look extra fancy but are unbelievably easy to make. I use a classic combination of Italian flavors with a tiny bit of heat. You can customize these any way you’d like by simply changing the spice and herb combination.

Ingredients

Ingredient to make mozzarella balls

Let’s Make Marinated Mozzarella Balls

  • Place olive oil, spices, and herbs into a bowl or container and mix.
  • Add mozzarella pearls.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 2-4 hours.
  • Remove 30 minutes before using them so the oil and cheese come to room temperature.

Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips

  • These will stay in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two weeks. The olive oil will harden in the refrigerator so they need to be removed from the refrigerator 30-60 minutes before using them so the oil turns back to a full liquid state.
  • Serve these on toasted baguette slices, on a charcuterie platter, on pizza, on salads, or on skewers as an appetizer.
