A blueberry twist on traditional Caprese salad on a skewer makes an easy handheld appetizer perfect for any get-together.

Why We Love This Recipe

These skewers are quick and easy one-bite appetizers or snacks. You can easily make these in 5 minutes or make them ahead of time and they are ready when you are. Serve these alone or make a few to place on a fruit tray or charcuterie platter.

Ingredients to make Blueberry Caprese Skewers

Let’s Make Blueberry Caprese Skewers

  1. Thread a mozzarella pearl onto a fancy toothpick followed by a basil leaf, four blueberries, another basil leaf, and another mozzarella pearl.
  2. Put the skewers on a platter and drizzle them with balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze.

  • 1 pint fresh blueberries
  • 8 oz. package mozzarella pearls
  • 48 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze

  • 24 fancy toothpicks/food skewers

Method
 

  1. Thread a mozzarella pearl onto a fancy toothpick followed by a basil leaf, four blueberries, another basil leaf, and another mozzarella pearl.

Notes
