Here it is…the best Apple Cider Margaritas you’ll ever taste! Apple cider, tequila, triple sec and a splash of a secret ingredient with a cinnamon sugar rim, of course.

For the Cocktail:

  • 1 shot of tequila
  • 1/2 shot of triple sec
  • 1/2 shot of no-pulp orange juice
  • Apple cider
  • 1-star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 slice of orange peel, curled
  • 1 small slice of fresh orange

For the Cinnamon sugar rim

  • 2 TBS sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Mocktail Ingredients:

  • 1 shot of no-pulp orange juice
  • 1 shot of sparkling water – you can use orange flavored water if you’d like
  • Apple cider
  • 1-star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 slice of orange peel, curled

  1. Mix the cinnamon and the sugar together and pour it out onto a small plate. I use a small paper plate.
  2. Pour a tiny bit of orange juice into a glass and dip your thumb and forefinger into the juice.
  3. Rub the rim of the glass with the small slice of orange.
  4. Dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar.
  5. Fill the glass with ice.
  6. Add the tequila, triple sec, orange juice and stir.
  7. Fill the remainder of the glass with Fresh Apple Cider.
  8. Garnish with star anise, cinnamon stick, and orange peel curl.

My shot glasses are 1.5 ounces.
