Vanilla Bourbon Eggnog is a shaken cocktail made with egg not, vanilla flavored bourbon, nutmeg, and cinnamon. This might just be my new favorite holiday drink.
Truth be told, I have not always been a fan of eggnog. But I am pretty sure I’ve figured out why. It’s because I’ve never had a really good eggnog cocktail…well, at least not until now!
In my search for the perfect eggnog cocktail, I came across a small bottle of vanilla flavored bourbon and immediately I had a great idea! How about adding vanilla flavored bourbon to eggnog with a few warm winter spices? And that’s how I came up with this holiday cocktail recipe.
I do need to tell you that I made this cocktail with dairy-free eggnog-flavored soy milk. For me, it’s a much lighter cocktail and the actual eggnog does not fit with the bourbon. But, if you are a traditionalist and like regular eggnog, you can certainly use that as a substitution.
