Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp minced or chopped garlic
- ¼ cup + 2tbsp light brown sugar
- ¼ cup + 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon finely grated or chopped ginger (substitute: 1 teaspoon ground ginger)
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Cooked white or brown rice
- Garnishes – green onions and shredded carrots
Let’s Make Korean Beef
- Add ground beef and garlic to a large skillet and brown.
- Drain any excess liquid.
- Mix brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
- Pour soy mixture over cooked beef and garlic and simmer on low for 10 minutes.
- Serve over white or brown rice.
- Garnish with shredded carrots and green onions.

- To make this a low-carb meal, substitute cauliflower rice for regular rice.
