Frosé Frozen Rosé is just that – its a refreshing cocktail made from frozen rosé wine, lemon juice, strawberries, and vodka. Refreshing and delicious.

Frose Frozen Rose

Frosé Frozen Rosé is a wine slushy that is the hottest, or should I say “coolest” drink in town! So why not treat Mom to a special Mother’s Day with a special drink just for her? I had been hearing a lot about Frosé but never had it until a recent trip to Wynwood Art District. After a day of exploring in the world of murals in Wynwood, we decided to stop and grab a bite to eat and a drink before heading home. The restaurant was crowded so the five of us grab a row of seats at the bar. And what to my eyes! YES! A large smoothie maker churning and churning, filled with a pink icy drink. I was immediately transcended back to the slurpy machine at 711 as a kid. But this one was filled with Frosé! Any guesses what I ordered? YUP – I’ll have that Frosé, please. Being one of the worlds biggest rosé lovers I was not sure what to expect – maybe just cold rosé? Not at all. What I got was cold, sweet, tart and had a bigger punch than just rosé wine. Well you know I asked for the recipe — and they told me the ingredients.

I played around with the ingredients until I got it right. I need to warn you it takes a little bit of planning because you need to freeze the Rosé wine ahead of time, I freeze my rosé in ice cube trays overnight and they are the perfect size to pop into the blender. I especially like the extra large silicone ice cube trays:

Note: my recipe calls for using my favorite Fresh Strawberry Sauce. But, you can substitute fresh or frozen strawberries and sugar.
