Easy Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

With only three ingredients and three minutes, you can make the creamiest, chocolatey frosting. The perfect chocolate flavor with a slight amount of tanginess.

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Place chocolate chips into a microwavable bowl.
  • Microwave for 30 seconds, stir with a rubber spatula, and microwave for another 30 seconds.
  • Fold in sour cream and vanilla extract.
  • Mix, using a hand mixer, until smooth and creamy.

Notes

Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips:
  • I recommend using semi-sweet mini chocolate chips for this recipe. If you cannot find mini-chocolate chips use the regular size, but make sure they are "semi-sweet".
  • Use an oven mitt or towel when removing the melted frosting from the microwave because the bowl gets very hot in the microwave.
  • Use this frosting for cakes, cupcakes, sandwich cookie filling, and cookie frosting.
