I recommend using semi-sweet mini chocolate chips for this recipe. If you cannot find mini-chocolate chips use the regular size, but make sure they are "semi-sweet".
Use an oven mitt or towel when removing the melted frosting from the microwave because the bowl gets very hot in the microwave.
Use this frosting for cakes, cupcakes, sandwich cookie filling, and cookie frosting.
