Ingredients 

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3.4 oz. small box chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 21 oz. can of cherry pie filling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray a Bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Mix all ingredients with a hand mixer or in a stand mixer for 3-4 minutes on medium speed.
  • Pour 1/2 cake mixture into the Bundt pan.
  • Spoon in 1/2 the can of cherries in a circle in the middle of the cake mix.
  • Be careful not to have them touching the sides.
  • Top the cherries with the remaining cake mixture.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes.
  • Cool completely.
  • Top with remaining cherries and decorations, slice, and serve.

Notes

  • Make sure the center cherries are right in the middle of the cake batter and not touching the sides of the pan.
  • Be sure to cool the cake completely before adding the additional cherries and any additional decorative sugar.
