Remove the husk silks from the outside of the corn cobs.
Rinse the cobs in cool water.
Place corn on the cob, buttermilk, and salt into a large bowl or shallow dish and soak the corn for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Remove the corn from the buttermilk and pat dry with a paper towel.
Grill the corn until it is slightly chard.
Slather with butter, salt, and pepper and enjoy.
