Buttermilk Grilled Corn on the Cob

There is nothing better than summertime grilled corn on the cob dripping in butter. Marinating it in buttermilk adds tangy sweetness.

Ingredients 

  • 4 ears corn on the cob
  • 1-1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Remove the husk silks from the outside of the corn cobs.
  • Rinse the cobs in cool water.
  • Place corn on the cob, buttermilk, and salt into a large bowl or shallow dish and soak the corn for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Remove the corn from the buttermilk and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Grill the corn until it is slightly chard.
  • Slather with butter, salt, and pepper and enjoy.

Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips
  • Don’t have buttermilk? No worries. Make your own buttermilk by adding 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or fresh lemon juice to 1 cup of milk.
  • You can also boil the corn in the buttermilk and salt on low heat from 8-10 minutes instead of grilling it.
