Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

With only 5 ingredients, this cream cheese frosting is the easiest and most delicious frosting you'll ever make. It's creamy, sweet, tart, with hints of warm cinnamon flavor.

Ingredients 

  • 8 oz. block plain cream cheese softened at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup butter softened at room temperature
  • 3 cups powdered (confectioners) sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Mix the butter and cream cheese for 1 minute on high until it's smooth and creamy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon and mix until combined.
  • Add powdered (confectioners) sugar 1/4 cut at a time mixing at medium speed.
  • Once all of the sugar has been add, turn the mixer up to high for 1-2 minutes.

  • Use only block-style cream cheese for this recipe.
  • Be sure to let cream cheese and butter sit out until they are softened.
  • If your powdered sugar is lumpy, you'll need to sift it through a strainer to ensure that it is loose when you add it to the butter and cream cheese mixture. 
  • To freeze this frosting, wrap it tightly in plastic-wrap and put it into a zip-top bag. Freeze it for up to two (2) months. To thaw, place the bag of frozen frosting in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
