  • 1 lb. Sweet Italian Sausage
  • 8 no-bake lasagna noodles
  • 24 oz. jar of red pasta sauce
  • 1/2 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 15 oz. container ricotta cheese
  • 6-8 slices fresh mozarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Brown Italian sausage in a non-stick 10" oven-proof skillet on the stovetop.
  • While sausage is browning, mix 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese with ricotta cheese. Set aside.
  • Remove cooked sausage with a slotted spoon and place it on a plate covered with a paper towel to absorb any excess greese.
  • Add sugar, salt, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning to store-bought pasta sauce.
  • Spread 1/4 cup of pasta sauce on the bottom of the same skillet used to cook the sausage.
  • Break the lasagna noodle to fit the 10" skillet and place a layer on top of the sauce.
  • Add 1/3 of the remaining sauce to cover the noodles.
  • Top noodles and sauce with 1/2 of the sausage, dollops of ricotta mixture, and a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Repeat steps 8 and 9.
  • Top final layer with fresh mozzarella cheese.
  • Sprinkle with a bit of Italian seasoning and bake for 35 minutes.
  • Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
  • Remove cover and cook for another 5-10 minutes.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
