Kitchen Sink Cookies

These cookies are sweet, salty, soft, crunchy, and loaded with chocolate and toffee bits.  They are a mix of a cookie and a candy bar.

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Stand or hand mixer
  • Spatula or large spoon for folding in mix-ins
  • Cookie scoop or tablespoon
  • Cookie sheet
  • Oven
  • Cooling rack (optional)

Ingredients 

  • 2-1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter - room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 egg

Mix In's

  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup pretzels - broken into pieces
  • 1/2 cup potato chips - broken into pieces

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°.
  • Cream the butter and sugars with a mixer on medium speed.
  • Beat in the egg.
  • Add flour, baking powder, and salt, and beat until combined.
  • Gently fold in toffee bits, chocolate chips, marshmallows, pretzel pieces, and potato chips pieces.
  • Use a cookie scoop to scoop the dough, form it into balls with your hands, pressing the mix-ins into the dough.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes. Cool on a cooling rack.

Notes

Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips
  • Get creative and add any type of mix-ins you like. Try peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, mini-M&Ms, and nuts, the sky is the limit.
  • While I usually use a cookie scoop to scoop and drop cookies onto the baking sheet, I find it better to scoop this and then roll them in your hands to ensure all of the mix-in goodies are pressed into the cookie dough.
