Wash blueberries and place them into a stovetop saucepan.
Add sugar and lemon juice.
Bring the mixture to a boil and boil for 1 minute.
Reduce it to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the stovetop and allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes.
The blueberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
