Three Ingredient Cocktail Meatballs are easy but elegant at the same time. They are perfect for the holidays or even an afternoon snack.
The best part about the holidays are the parties and get-togethers with family and friends…and of course the food! I am especially fond of small bites, where there are many choices and I can taste a lot of different goodies. We love to serve small bites, especially on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and Three Ingredient Cocktail Meatballs have become one of our favorites. They are tangy and sweet and honestly, I can’t make enough of them because my family and friends eat them like popcorn.
This recipe is actually a “throw-back” recipe from my Mom who used this same recipe to make cocktail weenies instead of meatballs. You might have already guessed, but the sauce is nothing more than grape jelly and ketchup. I know! Crazy, isn’t it? But the secret is not just the sauce; it’s the fact that I let the meatballs simmer for 2-3 hours in the sauce before serving. Sometimes I even make them the night before.
