My Three Cheese Cranberry Flatbread is creamy, cheesy and a bit tart from the cranberries. It’s the perfect holiday appetizer and is ready in minutes.
I absolutely love festive holiday appetizers and any with fresh cranberries has my number ONE vote! I also love using fresh herbs with fruit. The flavors of the creamy cheeses, sweet and tangy cranberries and savory herbs make this dish something very special.
Make-ahead tips for three-cheese cranberry flatbread
Holiday entertaining can get a little hectic so I like recipes that I can prepare in advance and have them ready to assemble, cook, and eat in no time. Here are a few of my make-ahead tips for this recipe:
- Slice the rosemary and thyme and put them in a small zip-top bag and store them in the refrigerator. By the way, I like to use the snack-size zip-top bags for small things like cut herbs.
- Cream the cream cheese and jack cheese together and store the mixture in an airtight container.
- All you have to do now is assembly the flatbread for baking when you are ready to use it.
Krazy kitchen mom Seasonal tip:
- Fresh Cranberries are a MUST during the holidays. But did you know that you can’t buy them until late October? So if you’re trying to get a head start or test out a new recipe before the holidays, you most likely won’t be able to buy fresh cranberries in your local market. My tip is to buy them when they are in season and freeze them. You can freeze them for a year so there is no problem with stocking up. And if you’re inspired to make something with fresh cranberries in the middle of the summer, you already have them on hand.
