Fun sweet and salty Halloween snacks that are fun to make and fun to eat. These make a fun seasonal activity for the kids.
Sweet and Salty Snack
Who can resist a sweet and salty snack? These fun Halloween treats are fun and easy to make. The toughest part is waiting for the candy melts to set before you gobble them down.
Ingredients
Let’s Make Spiderweb Pretzels
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
- Cut the fruit roll up into small pieces for the spider’s legs
- Melt the candy melts according to the package directions.
- Pour melted candy melts into a pastry bag or a small squeeze bottle.
- Place 10 pretzel sticks onto a cookie sheet in a star shape so the centers are touching.
- Squeeze a large dollop of candy melts into the center where the pretzels are touching.
- Put one of the chocolate candies in the center of the frosting dollop.
- Starting on the outside of the pretzel sticks, squeeze the candy melts, in a circular fashion to create the webbing and continue to make circles until you reach the center.
- Press fruit roll-up slices under the large white center to create the spider’s legs.
- Decorate with seasonal sprinkles.
- Place the cookie sheet into the refrigerator until the candy melts harden.
- Carefully remove the webs from the cookie sheet and enjoy.
Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips
- I recommend using a small squeeze bottle with a narrow opening for the melted candy melts.
- For smaller webs, break the pretzel sticks in half and use the half sticks as the base.
- Get creative and use lots of fun and scary Halloween decorations.
- Add the sprinkles and decorations while the candy melt is still soft to ensure they stick to the webbing design.
- Store leftovers on a plate in the refrigerator. Because these are delicate, separate any layers with parchment paper so the spiderwebs don’t stick together.
