Why We Love Raspberry Fool Dessert

  • Simple & Quick to Make – With just a few ingredients and minimal prep time, raspberry fool is perfect for a homemade dessert without the hassle.
  • Light, Creamy, and Refreshing – The combination of whipped cream and tangy raspberries creates a texture and flavor that’s both rich and airy.
  • Beautifully Versatile – Serve it in elegant glassware for a dinner party or spoon it into bowls for a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Ingredients to make Raspberry Fool Dessert
  • 1 bag of frozen raspberries
  • 3 TBS granulated sugar
  • Juice from 1/2 lime
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp confectioner’s sugar
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Let’s Make Raspberry Fool Dessert

  1. Thaw and gently drain the frozen raspberries.
  2. Place frozen raspberries in a bowl and smash with a potato masher or a fork.
  3. Add sugar and combine. Set aside.
  4. With a stand mixer or hand mixer, whip the cream and the powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  5. Place 1/4 of the whipped cream into four dessert bowls and top with 1/4 of the berries.
  6. Gently mix with a popsicle stick or the handle of a spoon to create swirls.
  7. Complete step #5 until all cream and berries have been used.
  8. Chill the desserts for at least 30 minutes.
  9. Garnish the top of each dessert with mint leaves.

Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips

  • Use Fresh or Properly Thawed Berries – Fresh raspberries give the best flavor and texture, but if you’re using frozen, make sure they’re fully thawed and drained to avoid watering down the dessert.
  • Don’t Overwhip the Cream – Whip the cream until soft peaks form—just firm enough to hold its shape but still silky.
  • Chill Before Serving – Letting the raspberry fool rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes not only helps the flavors meld, but also firms the texture.
