If you agree that cooking perfect rice can be really tricky, then you’ve probably had your share of mess-ups…under-done rice, over-done rice and even burned rice. Well no more – if you have an Instant Pot, you can make perfect Instant pot rice every time – I promise – consistent time-after-time.
If you’ve used a boxed rice in the past, you’re familiar with adding a bit more water than rice. With the Instant Pot, you use 1:1 ratio of water to rice. So if you are using 1 cup of rice, you use 1 cup of water. And you don’t even need to use traditional measuring cups…if you are using one teacup of rice, you use one teacup of water. Get it! Great!

Ingredients
- 1 cup of white rice
- 1 cup of water
Instructions
- Place water and rice in Instant Pot and stir.
- Place lid on Instant Pot and close to seal.
- Select “rice” on the Instant Pot.
- It will cook for approximately 8 minutes.
- Allow the steam to self-release for 10 minutes after it’s finished cooking.
- Cook Time: 8 minutes
