This is my Mom’s perfect banana bread recipe. It turns out perfect every time. It’s loaded with mashed bananas and pecans. there’s nothing better than a warm slice of banana bread with a slab of butter. It’s great for breakfast with a cup of coffee or after dinner as a dessert.
Ingredients
- 2-3 very ripe bananas
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Let’s Make Mom’s Best Homemade Banana Bread
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg until combined. Set aside.
- With a potato masher or a fork, mash in banana.
- Add the mashed bananas with butter, sugar, and egg mixture and fully mix until combined.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Stir until everything is mixed.
- Fold in the nuts.
- Spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Pour mixture into loaf pan.
- Cook for 55-65 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 1 hour before removing from the baking pan.
