My Mom’s Banana Bread recipe is one of my all-time favorites. It’s an easy recipe that turns out perfectly every time.

Why We Love this Recipe

This is my Mom’s perfect banana bread recipe. It turns out perfect every time. It’s loaded with mashed bananas and pecans. there’s nothing better than a warm slice of banana bread with a slab of butter. It’s great for breakfast with a cup of coffee or after dinner as a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 very ripe bananas
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Let’s Make Mom’s Best Homemade Banana Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg until combined. Set aside.
  3. With a potato masher or a fork, mash in banana.
  4. Add the mashed bananas with butter, sugar, and egg mixture and fully mix until combined.
  5. Add flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Stir until everything is mixed.
  7. Fold in the nuts.
  8. Spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  9. Pour mixture into loaf pan.
  10. Cook for 55-65 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Cool for 1 hour before removing from the baking pan.
