The Kentucky Hot Brown with Turkey is a twist of the original Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwich, made with Jennie-O Premium Portion Oven Roasted Turkey Breast.

For the Sauce:

  • 2 TBS flour
  • 2 TBS butter
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 6 TBS finely grated parmesan cheese

For the Sandwiches

  • 3 slices of bread (I used pumpernickel)
  • 10 thin slices of Jennie-O Premium Portion Oven Roasted Turkey Breast
  • 1 tomato – sliced
  • 9 pieces of bacon cooked crispy

For the Sauce:

  1. In a stop-top pot, melt the butter.
  2. Add the flour and stir until all of the flour is dissolved.
  3. Whisk in the milk and the cheese.
  4. Reduce heat to medium low and stir until it thickens.
  5. Set asside while you assemble the sandwich.

For the Sandwich assembly:

  1. Toast the bread.
  2. Start with a layer of the turkey breast on each piece of bread.
  3. Add three bacon slices to each.
  4. Add two slices of tomato to each open-faced sandwich.
  5. Top with the melted cheese sauce.
