Hot Chocolate Three Ways is made with Chocolate Almond Milk. It’s like having a flight of chocolate milk with three different flavors.
Have you ever had a wine flight or a beer flight? Well, welcome to a Hot Chocolate Flight. Three different flavors of hot chocolate made with store-bought chocolate-flavored almond milk. From left to right we have Peppermint, Cinnamon Spice, and then finally Nutella Marshmallow. I tried really hard to pick my favorite, but I couldn’t. I love them all!
How to make hot chocolate three ways
Peppermint
I got the idea for the Peppermint flavor when I found a bag of peppermint-flavored marshmallows in the grocery store. I had no idea what I was going to do with them, I just knew that I needed to buy them…and so I did. This simple recipe has only four ingredients, almond milk, peppermint extract, candy canes, and peppermint marshmallows.
Cinnamon Spice
I love the flavor of cinnamon. There is just something about the warm earthiness that makes me feel all cozy inside. If you’ve been following my recipes, you know that I like a little spice in my food so I added just a pinch of cayenne pepper. The cayenne intensifies the cinnamon and adds just the right amount of heat.
Nutella Marshmallow
This one is my husband’s favorite. He likes the hazelnut taste with the smooth marshmallow. It’s made with the same chocolate almond milk. This time I added Nutella spread and marshmallow cream.
How to make an adults-only version
If you’d like to make this for the over 21 crowds and add some spirits try these:
- Peppermint – Omit the peppermint extract and add 1 shot of peppermint schnapps.
- Cinnamon Spice – Add 1 shot of Fireball.
- Nutella Marshmallow – Add 1/2 shot Frangelica and 1/2 shot vanilla-flavored vodka.
Whether it’s family game night or decorating the tree or just curling up with a good book on a cold winter night, these are all delicious and a fun way to serve a hot drink that the entire family will love. Oh, and did I tell you that this almond milk has only 100 calories for an 8-ounce serving, so live it up!
