Homemade Berry Poptart Pastries are easy to make and taste just like the store-bought version. Be careful they will disappear the minute you take them out of the oven.
These take me back to when my kids were young. Oh who am I kidding, they take me back to when I was young. As a kid, Poptarts were a big treat in my house. I grew up in Europe and didn’t get a lot of American food except when my Grandma sent her goodie box.
Grandma’s goodie box always had peanut butter and Jelly, sugary cereals, mac and cheese (in the blue box) and Poptarts! My sister and I would jump with joy when the postman brought our gift boxes. It was like a birthday every time they came. Recentdecideddiced to try my hand at a homemade version. To my surprise, they were very easy to make and the kids like them! In fact, my 29-year old son took one bite and said they tasted like the real thing. I’ll take that compliment any day.
Here are some of the products I used when making these. By the way, I love precut parchment squares, They make baking so easy…one of my guilty pleasures!
