Cinnamon Sugar Sour Cream Doughnuts

Mini Cinnamon Sugar Sour Cream Doughnuts are baked to perfection. Just 15 minutes and a few ingredients and you have fluffy cake doughnuts from scratch. 



For the Doughnuts:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash of water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

For the Sour Cream Glaze

  • 1/2 cup confectioners (powdered) sugar
  • 2 TBS sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon milk

For the Cinnamon Sugar Sprinkle

  • 2 TBS sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


For the Doughnuts

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together the egg, sour cream, vegetable oil, vanilla, and sugar.
  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and whisk until fully combined.
  5. Spray doughnut trays with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Add a teaspoon of the dough to each section of the doughnut tray.
  7. Bake for 16-18 minutes.
  8. Cool completely before glazing.
  9. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.

For the Glaze:

Whisk together all of the ingredients.
