There is nothing better than summertime grilled corn on the cob dripping in butter. Marinating corn on the cob before cooking brings out the sweetness and adds the perfect amount of tanginess.

Corn on the cob, dipping in butter, or smeared with avocado crema means the freshness of summertime flavors. This corn is sweet with a hit of background tanginess. It’s grilled to perfection with crispiness in each bite.

Ingredients

4 ears of corn, pint of buttermilk, salt grinder
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Buttermilk
  • Salt

Let’s Make Buttermilk Grilled Corn on the Cob

  1. Remove the husk and silks from the outside of the corn cobs.
  2. Rinse the cobs in cool water.
  3. Place corn on the cob, buttermilk, and salt into a large bowl or shallow dish and soak the corn for two hours in the refrigerator.

  • Don’t have buttermilk? No worries. Make your own buttermilk by adding 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or fresh lemon juice to 1 cup of milk.
  • You can also boil the corn in the buttermilk and salt on low heat from 8-10 minutes instead of grilling it.
