Look no further, you just found the BEST Bourbon Sauce Recipe! We put this sauce on everything, from shrimp to chicken to pineapple.
Outrageously delicious is the only way to describe this Bourbon Sauce Recipe. It bursts with the deep rich flavor of the bourbon, a pop of sweetness from the brown sugar, umami from soy sauce and a little deep heat from fresh ginger and garlic. This sauce is so yummy, I caught my husband sneaking a spoonful.
What foods can I put Bourban Sauce on?
The easy answer here is EVERYTHING. But I’m sure you want me to be a bit more specific. Let’s start with the photo below.
- Bush corn on the cob with bourbon sauce right as it comes off the grill. No butter needed – just a slather of sauce.
- We also brushed grilled shrimp with bourbon sauce right before we took it off the grill…one word…amazing!
- Grilled pineapple is one of my favorite easy g0-to sides. I usually rub the pineapple rings with brown sugar before I grill them. Now I brush them with this mouth-watering sauce.
- Bourbon sauce goes perfectly with any grilled or roasted meat – chicken, steak, ribs, burgers.
- How about using it as a topping for bread pudding – that will make everyone happy!
- Check out my Bourbon Glazed Salmon Ceasar Salad recipe that I made with this same sauce.

The photos looks awesome. What type of bourbon should I use for Salmon.
Laura Franco says
Hi Bridget, you can use any type of Bourbon you’d like. I use Makers Mark because that’s what I usually have on hand.

Going to try this one fee things, how well does it keep? Could I make it in bulk and refrigerate for a few weeks?
Laura Franco says
I usually make it as I need it. If you do want to make more, I recommend starting with a double batch and refrigerating it for no more than 5 days.
