Asian Style Chicken Meatballs


Asian Style Chicken Meatballs are sticky, sweet and healthy. This is a great appetizer for game day or a fancy party. Eat them as a Meatball lettuce wrap and you have a full dinner.



For the chicken meatballs

  • 1 lbs. ground chicken
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 TBS freshly grated ginger
  • 3 TBS low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 TBS fish sauce (optional)
  • 3 TBS of green onion chopped
  • 3 TBS parsley chopped fine
  • Sesame seeds and additional green onions for garnish.

For the sauce:

  1.  1 7.4-ounce bottle of store-bought Hoisin sauce.
  2. 1/4 cup brown sugar
  3. 4 TBS low sodium soy sauce
  4. 4 TBS rice wine vinegar
  5. 2 TBS sweet Asian chili sauce (optional)
  6. 1 TBS ground ginger


For the meatballs:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°
  2. Place all of the meatball ingredients into a bowl and stir until fully mixed.
  3. Use a small cookie scoop and make mini meatballs (you should get about 15 on one cookie sheet).
  4. Bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and cool>

For the sauce:

  1. Stir all sauce ingredients together in a stove top pan and heat until boiling.
  2. Turn down to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.

Pour sauce over meatballs and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
