I first made this sauce to cover our Easter Ham but after having it, I am convinced that it would be great on chicken, pork or even over ice cream.
2 TBS butter (I like salted butter for this recipe)
2 Apples – peeled, and diced small
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 TBS honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/3 Cup raisins
Melt butter in a small pot on the stove top. Add the apples, heat on high for 5 minutes, reduce to simmer and cook for 20 minutes until apples a soft. Add the remainder of the ingredients and cook on medium for another 10 minutes. Remove from heat and serve warm or refrigerate for later use.
