Why We Love This Recipe

  • Crispy:  They come out perfectly crispy without being greasy.
  • Quick Prep:  They cook fast, usually in just a few minutes, making them a great last-minute snack or addition to a meal.
  • Healthy Snack: Using an air fryer reduces the amount of oil needed, making them a lighter alternative to traditional fried wonton strips.
  • They Go With Everything: They’re great on their own or as a crunchy topping for soups, salads, or dips.
  • Cleanup is a Snap: Air fryers are easy to clean, especially compared to deep frying.

Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips

  • I use a 5-quart air fryer that cooks 14 wonton strips per batch. To make the process quicker, I prepared all of the strips with oil and salt in advance by laying them out on a large cookie sheet.
  • Experiment with shapes by cutting the wonton wrappers into triangles or using a cookie cutter for a specific shape.
  • Store in a zip-top bag.
