3-Ingredients
Let’s Make 3-Ingredient Blueberry Sauce
- Wash blueberries and place them into a stovetop saucepan.
- Add sugar and lemon juice.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and boil for 1 minute.
- Reduce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from the stovetop and allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes. The blueberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
Krazy Kitchen Mom Tips
- When buying and storing fresh berries, wash them right before you use them. Washing berries and storing them in the refrigerator causes them to spoil quickly. It’s best to store them unwashed in the refrigerator or a very cool place.
- To freeze fresh berries, wash them thoroughly, place them on a layer of paper towels and let them dry completely. Place them into a zip-top bag and freeze them for up to a year.
- This sauce will stay fresh for up to 8 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
